Having lost in theSecond World War, Japan had become a defeated county, andwas falsely accused in the war of invasion by the Allies, thenunder the influence of the occupational policy and the guiltyconscience policy accompanied with information control bythe mass media, and the education that negates that which isinvisible to our eyes, we have lost our faith, we have lost ourlove of our country and pride of being Japanese, and then byhaving a sense of guilt planted in our mind, we have lost ourself respect. However, it seems to me that these recentoccurrences have been a necessary ordeal in order for us toretrieve what is truly important. It seems to me to have beennecessary that this situation has hit Japan, which is similar tothat of having been ruined following the bombing. In fact,when I visited the afflicted area, I felt as though I were in a
