Foreword 7ForewordOne day in 1996, after I had returned to Japan from Englandto seek opportunities for the promotion of homoeopathy inJapan, I received the revelation that “the Gods are lamenting.”At that time, I was unable to understand what the messagemeant, and in the course of my daily activities I quickly forgotabout it. However, whilst writing this book my memory of ithas returned. Thinking about it now, I feel that it is because wethe people of Japan have lost our faith and are thereforeincapable of displaying the potential within our own lives, thatthe Gods have been lamenting.My initial motivation for writing this book was the eventssurrounding the Great East Japan Earthquake and theFukushima nuclear incident. I cannot help but think that thesetwo events happened because we Japanese had to learnsomething important, even though the cost was thirty thousandpeople’s lives and a radiation leak.One of the implications of the incident was that we have toreflect upon our life styles and to learn from the importance ofliving with an appreciation for, and in harmony with, nature.Between April 1st and the 3rd, as the chairman of the JapaneseHomoeopathic Medical Association, I appealed to homoeopathylovers for their charity and as a result was able to deliver amonetary donation of 10 thousand Yen along with various aid
